Vinaigrette Salad Dressing Recipe

This is an excellent sweet and sour vinaigrette dressing recipe.  It is usually necessary to make one's own salad dressing to get only extra virgin olive oil and none of the usual soy or canola oils that are in almost all commercial products.   This recipe is excellent for spinach salad, and goes well with any salad or raw vegetable mix.  Add and toss just before serving.

1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
1/4 cup honey
1/3 cup extra virgin olive oil
1/4 cup water
2 cloves fresh garlic, crushed
1 teaspoon lemon pepper
1/2 teaspoon salt

Mix all liquid ingredients in salad dressing carafe or jar and shake or stir.

Add 2 cloves of crushed fresh garlic, 1 teaspoon of lemon pepper and ½ teaspoon of salt, or other herb mixture.  Stir or shake the mixture until it's well blended and always shake before serving.

Can omit the honey for a non-sweet dressing, and add other spices besides garlic and lemon salt, like an Italian herb blend.
