Mineral Ascorbates are effervescent powdered drink mixes with vitamin C plus bromelain, fructo-oligo-sacharrides (FOS, also known as inulin), lemon juice powder, vitamin B6, and the minerals calcium, magnesium, potassium, and zinc used as the base. They also contain additional vitamins, minerals, herbs, and other nutrients specific for certain conditions.
The HSV Formula contains a great deal of lysine (1.5g per serving) plus other antiviral and healing nutrients including olive leaf extract, bilberry extract, gamma tocopherol complex, and alpha/beta carotenes. It is designed to control herpes simplex virus (I and II) but is also effective for many other viral illnesses, chronic and acute. When mixed in water, Mineral Ascorbates HSV Formula turns dark purple as a result of the bilberry extract it contains.
Ingredients: The Mineral Ascorbates HSV Formula contains 25 1 teaspoon (4.5g) servings per 4 oz canister and contains approximately the following per serving:
1500mg lysine
840mg vitamin C
390mg inulin
250mg olive leaf extract
220mg bioflavonoids
170mg magnesium
150mg bilberry extract
140mg bromelain
110mg calcium
60mg potassium
50mg gamma E complex
50mg alpha/beta carotene
17mg sodium
14mg vitamin B6
3mg zinc
Directions: Must be mixed in water or juice to let effervesce before use! (Due to the large amount of lysine in the HSV Formula, it may effervesce little compared to most Mineral Ascorbate formulas.) Start with ¼ to ½ tsp (mixed in water or juice) one to three times per day and work up to the dose necessary to achieve desired results, ½ to 1 tsp once or twice per day. A good schedule for an intensive program is ½ tsp in the morning and 1 at night although ½-1 tsp each night should be sufficient to prevent most outbreaks once they are under control. For acute problems like cold, flu, or viral infection, use ¼ tsp in a full cup of water every hour. Occasionally, invert closed canister and shake to evenly disperse since the powders settle over time.
